Survival Standards

So if information truly does become multi media in context will it become the tower of babel and is that bad? Standards do seem drab sometimes and limiting, but the artist/designer side of me always did find I did my best work when working with structure or limits. I know that in some realms of "creativity" rules and standards are frowned upon, but even the great masters learned the rules before they broke them. So yes I believe in structure until going ooutside that structure gains you more then just freedom to be you.
A little conformity please, would be good.

Images are information

Images are information
Well, it has taken me more than two years to get back to this blog, but here I am.
I am just about to publish this quarter's newsletter and am struck by the coalescing of the digital technologies. There are now cellphones that shoot 10 megapixel images and play music as well as communicate wirelessly. See Samsung for the latest techie toys and my News at http://www.dig-mar.com for the latest a greatest.
An image file in a very near future may actually not only carry printing instructions but also information about the object it is imaging. What a great wrapper for information.
Images will truly be information then.
If we only can standardize and preserve all that data.
